Optional measurement helps us understand which public pages lead to useful family work. Your choice does not affect access, pricing, or your ability to use Our Story.

With your permission, we link how you found us to signup and task outcomes for up to 120 days. We send only aggregate counts to PostHog in the United States; family content and account identifiers stay out.

If you allow it, we record a category for your entry page and referring channel. After you sign in, we connect that choice to completed tasks such as creating an archive, saving and reopening an item, answering a request, or preparing an export. We also count your setup choice, use of family, archive or people search, trial starts and confirmed paid-plan payments. Search words, payment amounts and payment details are not copied into measurement. We use internal identifiers to count these outcomes without copying the material involved.

We send aggregate counts to PostHog in the United States. We do not send names, email addresses, family or item identifiers, private content, raw searches, private URLs or sign-in tokens. This feature does not record your screen, use advertising trackers or automatically capture your clicks.

Your browser stores a measurement cookie only after you allow this. Choosing “No thanks” stores a simple preference cookie without a measurement identifier. The optional linked records expire after 120 days; continuing afterward requires another choice.

Turning measurement off removes its linked visit and task records from the app. If you’re signed in, this applies across devices. Totals already aggregated for reporting cannot be traced back to you for subtraction. Normal account, security, billing and family archive records follow the Privacy Notice.

This choice is separate from joining a family pilot study. A relative’s use is measured only if they make their own choice. Shared-device users should sign in to review their account’s preference.
