Scroll to travel through time. The rail along the bottom names the generation on screen and its years; the generation marks on it are tappable. Seeing as you at the top left says whose eyes the family is read through, so captions such as “your grandparent” make sense.

A dashed ghost mount marks where the record runs out, for example a missing parent. Tapping it opens the composer with the relationship already chosen.

Choose Orbit at the top right. You are at the centre and each ring is one generation further back. Drag to move, use the wheel or pinch to zoom, and the reset control returns to the opening fit. The year slider on the rail brings the generation nearest that year forward.

More → People list shows everyone as a plain list grouped by generation, with lifespan and place. It is the screen-reader path, the old-laptop path and the print-your-tree path, and every name opens the same profile.

Click any portrait or name. Their story opens full screen: the portrait and lifespan on the left, and on the right the sections Life, Memories, Records, Family and Historical context. Back to the family at the top left, or Escape, returns you to the tree with the same person in view.

In Family, the relatives are listed as parents, partners, siblings and children; choosing one opens their story in turn, and Add someone to this family starts the composer anchored on the person you are reading.
