More → Places lists every place written down anywhere in the family: births and deaths, life events, and where records and memories come from. Spellings are kept as recorded and grouped only when they differ in case or spacing. Private material counts only for those allowed to see it.
Open a place to see who and what mentions it, add what it is called today and the names it has carried, and, where a sourced match has been confirmed by the family, see it on the private map. No journey is ever inferred from two places.

Other names
On a person, open Edit facts and, under Other names, choose Add another way this name is written: a maiden name, a nickname, a religious name, a name in Cyrillic, Arabic or Chinese characters, each with its Kind, the Name as written, and an optional language tag and note. Search finds the person under any of them, and GEDCOM import and export carry them as alternate names. The display name stays as you chose it.
Translations beside originals
A letter in Polish, an interview in Spanish: on the item’s details add a translation with its language and who made it. The translation sits beside the original, never replacing it; both are searchable, both are printed in chapters and both travel in exports. If the original text changes later, the translation is flagged as needing review.
