The four rooms
Family home. The top bar is the same on every page of the archive.

- Home
- Where you land. It suggests one next step, lists replies and reviews waiting for you, and shows recent memories and records.
- Family
- The people, drawn as a tree or as rings around you. Open anyone to read their life, their memories and their records.
- Archive
- Everything the family has kept, in two lanes: Memories (photographs, voices, letters, stories) and Records (documents that support a fact).
- Add
- One place to add anything: files, a written memory, a voice, a document or citation, a question for a relative, or a GEDCOM file. Viewers do not see it.
The More menu
More holds the less frequent destinations: the People list (a plain, printable list of everyone), Activity (who changed what), Settings (members, invitations, privacy, import, export and billing), and, when they are enabled for your archive, Places, Family tours, Research reports and Client reviews. The help center is there too.

Search the family
Search family in the top bar (or ⌘K on a Mac, Ctrl+K elsewhere) finds people, records and memories by name, title or caption. People open in the family view; archive results open the item itself.

Lighting and the account menu
The sun-and-moon button switches the archive between Night, the ink room shown in these walkthroughs, and Daylight, the same rooms at noon. The first visit follows your system setting; one press flips it and the choice is remembered on this device.
Your portrait at the far right opens the account menu: Account settings, the Client workspace for professionals, and sign-out. If you belong to more than one family, Switch family appears beside it.
