Open the memory composer
Open Add in the top bar, then choose Write a memory. You can also open Archive → Memories → Add a memory. On a phone, use Add in the navigation.
Write a memory
Step 1. Choose Write a memory. Need a starting question? offers gentle prompts if the page is blank.
Step 2. Give it a Title (optional) and write in Memory. Keep the words as they were told; the archive keeps every version if you correct it later.
- Step 2. Write your story in the Memory box

If you need a hand
- I do not know where to start
- Open Need a starting question? in the composer. Try one detail: What did their kitchen smell like? What phrase did they always use?
- I need to stop before saving
- On your own device, turn on Keep a recovery draft on this device. It keeps text in this browser for up to seven days. Leave this off on a shared computer.
- I cannot save
- Check your connection and any error shown beside the form. Keep a copy of your words before leaving the page. Saving requires an owner or editor role and an active trial or plan.
