Upload photographs

From the person’s memory page, choose Add a memory. This keeps the memory linked to them. If you accepted a contributor invitation, it opens this page directly.

Owners and editors can also open Add in the top bar, then choose Add files, or use Memories → Add a memory. On a phone, use Add in the navigation.

   Step 1. Give the memory an Optional title, such as Picnic at Hollins Hill.

   Step 2. Choose Choose photos, audio, video or PDFs and pick up to 30 files. Images, PDFs, audio and video are accepted; phone photographs in HEIC are converted for you and the original is kept.

   Step 3. Choose Save files. Your uploads shows each file’s progress; keep the tab open until you see Saved. You can start writing another memory while files upload.

Return to the person’s memory page, or open Memories to find material you can see. Owners and editors can use Link people and Who can see this? to manage context and audience. Contributors can add new memories of the invited person; ask a family editor to correct or remove a saved contribution.

The file is still uploading

Keep the tab open and check your internet connection. Large audio and video files may take longer than photographs. Wait for Saved before closing the tab.

The upload failed

Choose Retry upload in the upload list. Keep the original file on your device until the retry succeeds. If it fails again, contact us with the file type and the error shown.

I cannot add anything

Check that the archive has an active trial or plan. Owners and editors can add memories. A contributor invitation allows uploads from that person’s memory page only; other viewers can explore but cannot upload.
